Howoooooooo

It's Friday night, there's a full moon, & I feel c-c-c-crazy.
I miss acting like a headcase.
It made me feel warm & cool.

We've been writing lyrics this week ________(This isn't them)
But somebody keeps saying "Let's go to the pub",
It's going O.K., but the best part of the day,
Is when we just start jamin' ______________(Nor this)
Yesterday I was on bass & Danny was on keys.
Bass is a fucking cool instrument to play __(Not this either)
When I play keys, I sometimes have to think,
& make sure my fingers are right.
But when I play bass it's more about just feeling,
& letting the devil inside me out.__________(They're still secret)
I've got nasty blisters on my fingers today,
I think that means I enjoyed it.____________(Sorry!)

It's Saturday in our place now...
Yesterday(Friday)was mid-autumn day,good wishes! Of course there's a full moon in the sky~
Want to see you and Danny play.
Bass is really cool, although i like drum best.
Is there really hard to learn a musical instrument? i can play nothing...

As much as I want to know, I will just be patient. I sat on 'Road to Rouen' MP3s for a month just to build up some anticipation. The whole excitement of going to the record store for an album the day it comes out is dead because the MP3s are leaked months ahead. It's so sad.

By the way, I didn't rip you off. I went out and bought the album once it was actually out. :D

I don't know will the words be the same without the music? Although the 'going to the pub' sounds reminiscent of the scene in France on the dvd. Although on the subject of lyrics I do have a great clip of Gaz forgetting St. Petersburg at the Wedgewood rooms gig.

new album on the way already? Yeahhhhh...!!

Bass is cool, I play, but everytime I try to play a Supergrass song, I just don't. It's hard. Tell Mick he has a fan.

And while you're at it, squeeze in the though of coming to Canada anytime that's not winter lol :)

You should release your recorded jams under the name "The Bass Blisters"
Actually, I've always had this fantasy that, when I do become known, to get together with other well known people, buy some Mexican wrestling masks and other disguises, and create some sort of mystery band. People would spend copious amounts of time trying to figure out just WHO we are.
For instance, someone will stumble upon this blog in the future and wonder "Wait, maybe Aaron Vail is in that mystery band! But...wait! Maybe Rob is as well!"

"No, it's just Rob's blog. Besides, I saw him at the grocery store when Mystery Band was playing at the Enormo Dome"

Oh, the fun.

I hope that you did something crazy while the moon was full. Did you? If not, there's still time...

i know what you mean about bas and the devil, bass is astrange olde thing

its primal

drums provide the tempo and the beat to which you walk in the song

but the bass provides the direction

i like bass

I guess I am a little late on responding to this one, sorry Rob.

Glad to hear you boys are having fun creating new stuff.

I was looking on youtube, and i believe that one of the new songs is on there, from when you visited China.

Sounding real good, can't wait for the next album to be released!!!

Yeah! Go with the flow Rob!

It must be great to sort of reach those higher regions where you start jamming and something good and demonic comes out.

Even I experience this while fooling around on my guitar, somedays I feel like I could be a rockstar ... on other days my guitar seems to make a different empty sound.

Anyway, nice to read about the process of writing songs.

BTW, in a previous post you said that most of your songs are not suitable for SG, but more for Sesame street. Why don't you actually try to get the people from Sesame street to use them? (nice for ya kids and music on TV brings in quite a lot of money)

Yeah, Rob, i think you're right about blisters. Sometimes i get so into an instrument that i just can't put it away...
I think it's really great that you guys all play each other's instruments, i dig that in a band. Were keys your first instrument?
